Welcome! I decided to update this~ My name is Michelle, I am happily married, have 4 kids and 4 grandkids. I'm a lupus, rheumatoid arthritis and straight-up autoimmunity advocate; dealing with autoimmunity and trying to figure out my 'new' life. When you lose your health you realize where your priorities are; my family is the most important thing in my life. Live each day to it's fullest and don't take one minute for granted!
I am a very amateur photographer. No matter how sick I am I can walk outside our door and snap a pic of something. We are very fortunate to live in the beautiful Pacific Northwest where everywhere you look, there is something snapworthy. Feel free to browse and take what you want.
Please take a moment to check out www.lupus.org and www.aarda.org and tell just one person. Autoimmunity doesn't get the news coverage like a lot of other diseases. There is no cure and there have been no new medications for lupus for 40 years.

It's been a while since I've been here on SU. Life has thrown a few curveballs at me and I forgot to duck. I want to thank my friends here for all the wonderful well-wishes and pages that were sent to make me laugh, smile, and think. You guys are the best!
Health update: I'm flaring in the biggest way and have let the blues get the best of me, but am pulling myself out of the hole, once again lol. I have a punch biopsy coming up to check my nerves and muscles. Not looking forward to having a chunk taken out of my leg but am really excited to get to the bottom of all the burning and muscle spasms.
Life update: Hubby and I have had the pleasure of taking care of our granddaughter full time this past month and there is nothing to ground you like the love of a 2 year old. She is the most amazing person I've met so far. Waking up in the morning to her smile makes everything worth it!
